Upgrading to Version 6

The following steps are necessary to upgrade to Version 6:

• Backup your settings from the File Menu in the Console.
• Uninstall version 5 before attempting to run the version 6 installer. Errors will occur with version 6 install if this is not followed.
• After installing version 6, start the ARX POP3 Connector console.
• Pop Accounts have been renamed to Routing Links and SMTP Servers have been renamed to Smarthosts.
• Your settings should have been upgraded. If this did not occur, restore your backup file from the File menu.
• Your POP Account have been upgraded to routing links, however you will need to create a smarthost. Create a smarthost then right click on your newly created smarthost and click "Assign to Lost Routing Links". This action will assign your smarthost to your routing links to maintain the same functionality as version 5.
• Verify all settings. Alert properties can be accessed by right clicking on "Smarthosts". Advanced options can be accessed by right clicking on "Options".
• Reactivate your product
• Start both services
